CAPABILITIES
No program restrictions on the number of companies you service! Each set
of payroll data is kept in its own user-named directory, diskette, or Zip
drive. Standard DATASMITH Payroll handles mixed-state payrolls easily...reporting
company total state wages and amount withheld by state each pay period...with
Department totals upon operator request. Local wages and wage bases are also
individually detailed each pay period. Powerful Comparative Report facility
can generate a wage report for any taxing authority between any two pay dates
within a year, and give you totals or a detailed wage listing by individual.
DIRECT DEPOSIT THAT WORKS WITH YOUR BANK
Many direct deposit programs require you to use expensive and inconvenient
out-of town processing organizations. DATASMITH Direct Deposit is a flexible
tool which works with virtually any bank or financial institution with ACH
capability. Easy setup: just give our Direct Deposit Test kit to your bank,
and they'll be able to tell you what they want and preview what they are
going to get. You can mix electronic payments with payments to third parties
via a payroll deduction, or submit them seperately. Optionally include a
balancing withdrawal from another account. Choose plain-paper slips or convenient
computer-generated mailer forms for Deposit Notifications to your employees
in lieu of checks.
EASY COMBINED FILINGS
In many cases, you need to run separate payrolls for internal reporting or
production purposes...but several tax authorities require combined reporting.
Our Built-in multi-payroll SPLICE capability allows you the flexibility to
have it both ways by creating combined payrolls at any time for any reports.
Use W2SPLICE to combine single or multi-employer filings on a single diskette.
W2LIST utility provides positive proof that a W-2 diskette has been written
correctly.
ELIMINATE CHECK FORM INVENTORY PROBLEMS
Our DATACHECK option allows you to create MICR encoded checks on blank check
stock using selected HP laser printers with special
MICR toner. For a really professional image, DATACHECK can add each client's
logo and/or signature to the check, via user-scanned .PCX files! The necessary
bank, account, logo, and signature information for each client is part of
each client's payroll data, so making changes is a snap! Check format &
account number changes automatically when you select the working payroll.
Changeover is easy: you can run conventional continuous or preprinted laser
checks with the same program to use up existing forms. Don't have a scanner?
No problem: LPI can furnish quick FAX to FED-X (or e-mail or secure download)
scanning service.
MAKE EMPLOYEE LABELS ON YOUR LASER PRINTER
DATASMITH Payroll has built-in capability to print standard 1" x 2.75" labels
on laser sheet stock. The operator can include employee ID and SSN on the
labels for internal distributions, or just name and address for mailings.
Labels can be printed for active/inactive employees, and/or for those who
have been paid or not in the selected period.
EXCLUSIVE! CREATE YOUR OWN PAYROLL LETTERHEAD
Our DATAFORM option allows you to create your client's payroll reports on
personalized letterhead made while you print using your HP Series II or Series
III or compatible laser printer. Your scanned-in logo appears at the top
of each page along with two user-entered lines of text. The body of the page
can be printed on a plain white, shadow outline, or grey bar background.
The body can be separated from the heading by your choice of solid, grey,
or "color" line. With left margin control, you can leave room for a 3-hole
or other binding, presenting your clients with a truly professional, personalized
package. Capture that major account by showing them a sample report with
their logo at the top of every page! DATAFORM allows you to define a different
form for each payroll!
